The Lake of the Woods Control Board says water levels
and flows throughout the Winnipeg River drainage basin are
very high for this time of year.
Spokesperson Rick Cousins says conditions have
dramatically changed since the early fall.

The Control Board is encouraging seasonal residents to
head out to their properties one last time before freeze
up. Cousins notes they should check that their docks and
other shoreline property are secure for the winter.
