Machin Mayor Pleased with Arena Funding

The Township of Machin is getting a nice shot in the arm from the
Provincial Government.
Vermilion Bay has been promised $1.1-million to fix up the Arena
and Mayor Gary Parkes says the renovations are badly needed.
Parkes says they plan to replace the ice plant and remove the sand
floor in the rink with a cement one.
Parkes says the Arena project was one of Council’s main capital
priorities in 2008 and is pleased that the province has agreed to cover
100% of the costs.
