MADD Canada Starts Annual Campaign

With the holiday season upon us Mothers Against Drunk Driving Canada has started their annual awareness campaign “Project Red Ribbon”.
MADD says the red ribbon isn’t just a symbol for safe and sober driving, it’s also a tribute to those who have been killed or injured in impaired driving crashes.
Chapters and Community Leaders for MADD will be out in their local communities handing out red ribbons and educational material.
MADD Canada National President Angeliki Souranis says “Impaired driving is not an accident, it is a decision someone makes.”
Each year, between 1,250 and 1,500 people are killed in impairment-related crashes, and more than 63,000 are injured.
