Main Fires in Sioux Lookout and Red Lake Area

The MNR is dealing with 75 active fires across the Northwest.
The largest blaze is 4,800 in size burning in a remote area of Woodland Caribou Park
in the Red Lake District.
Officials say the blaze has not spread in the past few days because of on-going efforts
by ground crews.
The fire is not threatening any property.
As well, crews have made great strides in controlling the 250 hectare blaze burning near
Big Trout Lake.
Fire Rangers were able to stop its movement towards the remote community Monday.
