Restricted Fire Zone

The Ministry of Natural Resources has designated Northwestern Ontario
as a Restricted Fire Zone due to the potential of a forest fire crisis.
The move prevents any open burning including campfires and burning
permits are now suspended.
Information Officer Travis Moffatt says the ban is in place until
further notice due to hot and dry weather as well as lightning strikes.
Moffatt says portable gas and propane stoves can be used for cooking
but extreme caution is urged.
