The Ontario Nurses Association is concerned about staffing levels at the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital.
They feel workloads are unsafe and have compromised patient safety.
ONA Spokesperson Vicki McKenna says nurses are frustrated and worried and believe that proper health care isn’t being provided.
An independent panel is holding three days of hearings to listen to concerns.
The panel is expected to come back with its recommendations in about a month and a half.
