Major Debt for Waterworks

Dryden has released its 2005 financial statements and the City is
sitting in good financial shape.
The Municipality brought in over $22-million last year, with net
revenue coming in at $1.7-million
However, one red flag appeared as the Waterworks budget has
accumulated a debt of $720,000.
The department was $400,000 in the hole in 2004.
Councilor Brian Collins says the figure is a concern as the Province
is expected to make it mandatory for waterworks to be at a break even point on a yearly basis.
