New Cottage Lots in Atikokan

The Town of Atikokan is moving ahead with plans to develop new cottage
lots on Crown land near Lerome, Jackfish and Plateau Lakes in hopes of
drawing more Summer visitors to the area.
The Province has given the Municipality the go-ahead to advertise for a
developer.
Once the developer meets certain conditions, the Province will sell the
property to the successful applicant at market value.
The Town and Government are now consulting with First Nations,
residents and tourist outfitters as well as conducting environmental
assessments.
The process is expected to take 3-years to complete.
