Major Honour For Dryden’s Randii-Lynn Sullivan

A Dryden native has received Dalhousie Universities’ highest honour.
Randii-Lynn Sullivan has accepted the Board of Governors Award of Excellence.
Sullivan says the award came as a complete surprise.
She went to the Halifax school six years ago to pursue her dream of playing hockey at a higher level and she says she couldn’t predict what would happen next.
Sullivan has now become a leader as a volunteer at the school and in the community.
She started her work in residential life and it led to volunteering for the Make-a-Wish-Foundation, Feed Nova Scotia, Habitat for Humanity and Change for Children.
Other highlights include co-chairing the Think Pink Breast Cancer Fundraiser where $3,000 was brought in.
Among her proudest work is her time as a peer advisor with Dal’s Career and Leadership Development Centre as well as Co-Chairing the program committee for the East Coast Student Leadership Conference.
With graduation approaching, Sullivan is now considering taking a masters program or returning home to attend the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
