Mammography Unit Fundraiser Backed by Friesen

A big boost for the Mammography Campaign at the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre in Sioux Lookout.
Harvey and Anna Friesen and Family have pledged to match dollar for dollar up to $100,000 for all new donations made by the end of next March.
Spokesperson Kathryn Davidson says the current portable mammography service is available for a few weeks of the year and is for screening purposes only.
The new service would be 5-days per week, eliminating wait times and travel burdens for patients.
The unit would provide screening and assessments.
Davidson says they need to raise an additional $200,000 to reach their $535,000 goal.
