Man Displays Knife In The Dryden Pedestrian Overpass

A Fort Frances man faces charges after he displayed a knife following a botched theft in Dryden yesterday afternoon.

City Police say the man removed items from a truck parked on Queen Street.

The owner of the vehicle retrieved the items and called police.

However, as the accused tried to leave the area by entering the Pedestrian Overpass, the victim followed him.

At that time the accused showed a knife, with the truck owner leaving the scene unharmed.

Police say 22-year-old Jordon Edward Windego has been charged with assault with a weapon, theft under 5-thousand dollars, obstructing a police officer and 3-counts of failing to comply with court orders.

Dryden Police recommend that you not approach someone who is committing a crime, but to instead get a detailed description and contact police right away.
