Holiday Monday was not kind to Dryden Firefighters.
The hectic day started 3:30 in the morning when volunteer members were dispatched to a crash involving a car and moose on Highway 502.
Two people were transported to Hospital for treatment.
The next set of calls came during the afternoon storm when the lightning set off numerous alarms.
During the evening, volunteer firefighters had to extinguish a kitchen fire at a Dryden home before being sent to Pronger Park to look into a report of trees on fire.
After a short rest, the Fire Service was called to an electrical fire in a flooded home basement wall.
The problem was handled but the tenants were forced to stay in a hotel for the following day due to needed repairs to the home.
