Manitoba Premier Warns Against Selling Crown Corpo

The Premier of Manitoba says the deregulation of the Ontario electricity market and the sale of Hydro One will likely hurt residents of the Northwest.
Gary Doer says the selling off the Manitoba Telephone System before his government came to power resulted in higher rates and ineffective service.
He says such major decisions should be put to a public vote.
Doer spoke to an NDP delegation in Dryden over the weekend.
