Manitoban Charged After Crash On Highway 17

One person has been charged after a crash that resulted in the closure of Highway 17 this morning.

Around 6:38 a.m. (Wednesday) Dryden OPP, Machin Volunteer Fire Department and Northwest Emergency Medical Services responded to a motor vehicle collision east of Vermillion Bay.

Police say two tractor-trailer units collided, completely blocking and closing the Trans Canada Highway.

As a result of the investigation Police have charged 27 year old Tejinder Singh of Winnipeg, MB with:

  • Unsafe Move Lane or Shoulder – Highway Traffic Act

There were no injuries reported and the Highway is now fully re-opened.
