Max Explores Canada Story Writing Competition

It’s time to choose your own adventure for Dryden’s favourite mascot.

Nicole Gale is the Office Manager for the Dryden Development Corporation and she says local elementary students are being encouraged to develop and write a story featuring Max the Moose and his travels throughout Canada.

Gale explains the fun and exciting initiative is being launched in recognition of Canada’s 150th Birthday and the 55th Birthday of Max the Moose.

She notes the educational project encourages youth the opportunity to explore Canada’s past, present and future.

Gale adds the ‘Max Explores Canada’ is about youth expressing imagination and creativity through storytelling.

The DDC received Community Foundation of Canada funding to launch the project.

Selected entries will featured in a Canada 150-Dryden book.

The deadline to take part is Friday.
