There’s still no committment from the City of Dryden to sign a letter of support to study a proposed casino.
Wabigoon Lake Ojibway First Nation is leading the charge and must have the backing of the community by early March.
Council met behind closed doors last night to discuss the project and Mayor Craig Nuttall stated Council will take a real close look at it.
Nuttall says he would like to see a public meeting before the municipality signs off on the project.
He notes they have to be careful on how to proceed.
