Reaction From The Speech From The Throne

The speech from the throne is receiving support from the Minister of Northern Development and Mines.
Michael Gravelle says there was something for everyone.
Gravelle says it was great to hear Premier Kathleen Wynne talk about the Ring of Fire.
In her first throne speech yesterday, Premier Wynne promised they would give local residents more say in whether they get a wind farm, gas plant or casino.
The New Democrats say they’ll give the minority Liberal government a pass on the throne speech, but want to see some of their measures addressed in the budget.
Tory Leader Tim Hudak says his party will vote against the speech and there needs to be a new government to rescue Ontario from its financial problems.
Premier Kathleen Wynne says the throne speech was designed to include ideas that would appeal to both opposition parties.
In addition to paying down the deficit, the new government’s agenda will also include an emphasis on job creation.
The speech also promised to work collaboratively with the opposition parties to make the minority parliament work.
