As the Kenora District Services Board continues to ponder the future of
land ambulance non-emergency patient transfers, the Town of Sioux Lookout is
calling for a review of the entire service.
Mayor Kathy Poling says a review would determine the best options for
all stakeholders.
Poling says 85% of the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre patient base is from the 28 fly-in communities and 102,000 people require land transportation each
year.
