Mayor says “Major Asset Staying in Atikokan”

Mayor Dennis Brown says Atikokan Renewable Fuels will breath new life into the community.
MGM Electric Boss Ed Fukushima has announced plans to turn the old Fibratech Mill into a wood-pellet manufacturing facility, creating some 60-direct and indirect jobs.
Mayor Dennis Brown says the Company still has to convert the particle board plant so it can produce various conventional wood pellets.
Brown says the Company will keep some of the old machinery in place to allow for the potential of making one of the products the old particle plant produced.
The plant could be operational in 6-months.
