Dryden’s debt has gone down from $40-million to $25-million.
Mayor Craig Nuttall says once the city eliminated the telephone and call centre, a big chunk of money was saved.
Nuttall says they are taking further action by re-financing their debentures.
He notes it took 2-years to get the debt down to where it is now.
Nuttall adds the province is on board with their cost saving measures.
