McMaster Disappointed With ETFO Decision

It’s unclear if any extra-curricular activities will be carried out at local public elementary schools this spring.
The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario has indicated its members would not participate in activities outside the classroom.
Director of Education with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board Jack McMaster says that could impact some activities such as track, soccer and baseball.
Although it’s late in the season, McMaster says there are some activities they can look at but it’s different in elementary schools because they don’t have paid athletic directors.
McMaster says he’s very disappointed that the decision was made, and that they are trying to provide the best opportunities for students right now.
