Monte McNaughton is calling the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation a “broken system.”
The Ontario PC leadership candidate was in Thunder Bay today, and says he met with Mayor Keith Hobbs to discuss the reassessment situation.
McNaughton says Premier Kathleen Wynne should blow the whistle on MPAC’s current model, as it’s doing nothing but ensuring municipalities are cash strapped.
McNaughton adds he talked to Thunder Bay members about his plans to pull the plug on “Wynne power,” noting Ontario’s wind turbines will eventually cost billions.
