Medal of Bravery for Hudson Man

A Hudson man has received a medal of bravery from the countries
Governor General.
Craig Russel Saarinen was honored for saving his friend’s life at a
special ceremony in Ottawa last friday.
Saarinen and his friend were on Maude Lake, near Schreiber back in
Secember of 2002 when there snowmachine broke through the ice.
In -28 weather, Saarinen managed to pull his friend out of the
lake and traveled 3-km away to get help.
Both men were rushed to Hospital for treatment.
