We are two days away from “Movember”.
Men across northwestern Ontario are encouraged to throw away the razor and grow a moustache in awareness of prostate cancer.
Kyle Szachury is the owner of Marble Eye Barbering in Sioux Lookout and he was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show today.
Szachury says they are holding a contest to see who can grow the best stash.
He notes the campaign is starting to grow, noting $42-million was raised across Canada last year.
Szachury says he wanted to do something to help the cause, noting he has a lot of clients going through prostate cancer and other forms of cancer.
He adds there’s really no voice for men’s health.
A kick-off event is being held at Dick and Nellies on Friday at 6 o’clock.
You can join the contest by going to www.movember.com and going to Marble Eye Barber Shop.
