Much of northwestern Ontario will be a glow on Halloween.
Some 6,000 glow sticks have been distributed to schools and child care centres around the region.
Ontario Provincial Police Constable Anne McCoy says they will help young trick or treaters be seen.
McCoy says it’s important that kids remain visible and stay safe.
The program started in Fort Frances 11 years ago and was expanded to Dryden and Kenora last year.
It is being offered this year in Thunder Bay for the first time.
Dryden Police, Treaty 3 Police and the Kenora-Rainy River District Child and Family Services are partners in the initiative.
