Red Lake Mayor Hoping For New OPP Formula

Red Lake Mayor Phil Vinet is encouraged following a meeting with Provincial Police.
Area leaders met with OPP Tuesday in Dryden to discuss a new costing formula for communities served by the OPP.
Vinet says he hopes the province acts sooner rather than later and implements a fair funding formula for everyone.
Red Lake has one of the highest policing costs per household in the province and Vinet says they stand to be big winners when the new formula is unveiled.
The province is holding 14 community consultations across Ontario and Vinet is asking for a quick turnaround.
