The Northwestern Health Unit has had just over 3 weeks to distribute vaccines for meningitis and chicken pox to young children.
Immunization Specialist Cindy McKinnon says so far the shots have been well received.
McKinnon says the Health Unit has used up its monthly allotment of vaccines, which is about 200 shots in all.
She notes in January the funding will allow them to offer shots to a wider range of children.
