Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre Opening

It started out as a dream 30-years ago and now its about to become a reality.
The new $130-million Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre is getting ready to open its doors in Sioux Lookout.
The 140,000 square foot facility includes 60 in-patient beds.
Each room is equipped with a personal computer and a spacious walk-in shower.
They also provide patients with a scenic view.
The Hospital has 2-operating rooms and a pharmacy.
Programs and services merge traditional and modern healing and the facility offers traditional food and interpretive services.
The Hospital is also directly linked to the 100 bed Hostel.
The Health Centre was designed by Douglas Cardinal and incorporates First Nation culture and traditions.
The Hospital is set to open November 7th and is expected to 20,000 patients a year.
