New teachers in the Rainy River School District now have support during their first year in the classroom.
The School Board has developed a mentoring program allowing new instructors to pair up with experienced ones.
Committee Chair Kendall Olsen says this kind of professional development for teachers can only equate to increased student learning.
In addition, all new teachers hired by the Board also receive an orientation and induction program.
