Officials say they will probably never know what caused the October 12th fire that destroyed the main building of the Famed Minaki Lodge.
Investigators spent several weeks going through the debris & trying to reconstruct the scene but were unable to pinpoint a cause to the blaze.
Fire Marshall Guy Degagne from Sault Ste Marie says the high voltage power line feeding the site was not responsible but he could not rule out other possible electrical failures.
The cause has officially been listed as “undetermined” & the investigation is now considered closed.
