Metis Nation Assembly

A number of local aboriginals are in Thunder Bay for the annual Metis Nation of Ontario’s Annual General Assembly.
President Tony Belcourt says the 5 day convention will feature 3 days of political meetings, 1 day of cultural activities, 1 day of sporting competition and entertainment each night.
Belcourt says 400 members are registered however he expects that number to double once the cultural events begin.
