A decision is expected this Tuesday in the Metis Nation
of Ontario court case against the Provincial Government.
MNO Chair Gary Lapinski says the province broke it’s
promise to allow Metis’ to hunt and fish without being
subject to conservation laws.
Lapinski says 12 charges were laid in 2005 against his
people.

The Province has stated it will only recognize Metis
hunters North of Sudbury.
Lapinski feels the courts will favour the Metis Nation
of Ontario’s previous agreements with the Government.
