The Metis Nation of Ontario is holding its Annual General Meeting in Kenora starting Friday night.
More than 400 people are expected to attend.
One of the highlights is the arrival of several Metis youth, who have been paddling across Ontario since May.
Federal Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Carolyn Bennett and provincial Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation Minister David Zimmer are among the dignitaries to attend.
The opening ceremonies for the MNO’s General Assembly will take place Saturday morning, with things wrapping up on Monday.
