Upgrades Underway At Neskantaga Water Treatment Plant

Years of waiting for clean drinking water will soon come to an end for residents of Neskantaga First Nation.

Work is underway to upgrade the communities Water Treatment Plant.

The nearly $9-million project was approved by the Federal government back in July. The remote community has been under a boil water advisory for almost 20-years.
