Michael Gravelle Taking Another Shot At Queen’s Park Seat

A political veteran in northwestern Ontario isn’t ready to give up his seat.

Michael Gravelle has once again been selected as the official candidate for the Liberals in Thunder Bay-Superior North.

The Minister of Northern Development and Mines says he’s not intimidated by the Premier’s low approval ratings heading into the June vote.

Gravelle admits this will be a tough election but notes he will go out there and make the case that he is the best person to represent the riding and the north at Queen’s Park.

Gravelle, who is running in his seventh election, says he will focus his campaign on issues like healthcare and highway upgrades.

He adds last year’s medical leave gave him time to reflect on the importance of his role as an MPP.

Gravelle is also taking a shot at the PC party, stressing a Conservative government will bring about huge cuts to social services, healthcare and education.
