A big boost for potential entrepreneurs in Lac Seul.
The First Nation and Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund announced the establishment of a micro-loan program Thursday.
Fund Development Manager Colleen Martin says access to capital is one of the main challenges aboriginal business owners face.
Small businesses in Kejick Bay, Whitefish Bay and Frenchman’s Head will be able to access loans of up to $2,500.
Martin says big things come out of simple ideas.
A six person Committee of community members from each First Nation will oversee the application process.
