Midget Thistles Make Playoffs

The Kenora ‘AAA’ Midget Thistles are headed to the playoffs.
The Thistles, represented by former Dryden Paperking players Brendan Bartlett, Tyler Boon, Josh Brunton and Josh Oberg, secured the berth with a pair of wins on the weekend.
The Thistles defeated the Yellowhead Chiefs 3-1 and Central Plains Capitals 2-1.
The team has 14-rookies and managed to clinch 6th spot in the 12 team league.
The Thistles will face the Winnipeg Thrashers in the Best-of-5 series starting Friday.
