Miners Can’t Hold On To 3 Goal Lead

The English River Miners couldn’t hold on to an early 3-0 lead en route to a 5-4 loss in overtime last night against the visiting Thunder Bay North Stars.
John Morales sparked the Miners early with a pair of goals, while Brendan Wilde added a single.
The North Stars scored four unanswered goals before Paul Lamoureux scored with under a minute remaining to force overtime.
Taylor Santorelli’s second goal of the game in extra time ended things for Thunder Bay.
English River still get’s a single point and is now 1-point back of the fourth place Dryden Ice Dogs.
Dryden is in action tonight at home against Fort Frances.
