The Fort Frances Lakers scored two goals in the third period en route to a 3-2 win over the English River Miners Thursday night at the Cochenour Arena.
Tyler Malpass and Dylan Kooner scored in the final frame to give the Lakers their second consecutive win.
The Miners got goals from Dwayne Auger and Tyrell Bourk, while Michael Lenko stopped 36-shots.
English River has now lost four straight, but will have some time to lick their wounds.
