For the second time in as many games the Dryden GM Ice Dogs received some overtime magic to secure a win in Thunder Bay.
Braeden Allkins stole the puck and walked right in to beat Nathaniel Dupuis 1:20 into extra time to give the Ice Dogs a 3-2 win Friday night.
Allkins had earlier tied the game in the second period.
Eric Stout opened the contest with his 21st of the season.
It was a tight checking, defensive affair as Thunder Bay outshot Dryden GM 27-20.
Patrick Zubick was solid in net to pick up he win.
Dryden GM is now tied for second in the SIJHL standings, three points back of first place Thunder Bay.
The rematch is Saturday night at 6:30 on CKDR.
