The Minnesota Iron Rangers jumped out to an 3-0 first period lead and never looked back in an 8-2 victory over the struggling English River Miners Thursday night in Hoyt Lakes.
Destin Robinson and Matthew O’Neill scored the Miners goals.
English River was out shot 44-21.
The two teams are back at it Friday as the Miners look to snap a 7-game losing streak.
