Some young people in our region are wearing warm coats this winter.
The Knights of Columbus has donated 60 new winter coats to the Kenora-Rainy River District Child and Family Services for distribution.
Coats for Kids campaign chair Nathan Cousineau says the campaign is part of a North American wide one that acquires coats from the Burlington Coat Factory at cost.
Cousineau says it took about a week to raise the money to purchase the coats.
He’s hoping to grow the program next year, with more organizations and groups jumping on board.
