The English River Miners were firing on all cylinders Friday night at the Cochenour Arena.
Spencer Milne scored twice and added a pair of helpers as the Miners humbled the Thief River Norskies 9-2.
Dante Tisi, Jacob Siebenga, Nic Herringer, Sam Cirone, Landon Russell, Michael Di Lullo and Mark Ziobro added singles.
Michael Lenko stopped 33-shots for the win.
The rematch is Saturday night at 7:30 in Cochenour.
