The English River Miners look to get off to a quick start as their Best-of-5 playoff series begins Wednesday night.
Despite finishing behind the Minnesota Iron Rangers in the SIJHL standings, the Miners will open the series at home.
Coach Derek Sweet-Coulter is hoping to use that to their advantage.
Sweet-Coulter says the players and community are excited about the match-up.
He notes they’ve had success against the Iron Rangers this season and stresses if they stick to their game plan, good things will happen.
Sweet-Coulter says a win tonight will give them momentum heading into the next two games on the road.
Puck-drop is 7 o’clock in Ear Falls.
