A third period goal from Mitchell Soderberg was the difference as the Thief River Falls Norskies beat English River 3-1 Friday night to remain undefeated.
Zap Albers opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game but the Miners couldn’t get anything else past Brock Lefebvre after that.
Michael Lenko stopped 25-shots for English River.
The rematch is Saturday night at 7:30 at the Cochenour Arena.
