Miners-North Stars Get Going; Ice Dogs Look To Continue Winning Ways

After a long layoff, the English River Miners and Thunder Bay North Stars finally get down to business Saturday in their SIJHL Semi-Final.

The Thunder Bay North Stars have home ice advantage, however it might not be an advantage.

The visiting team won 7 of the 11 games during the regular season.

The Miners won the season series with a 7-2 record, also dropping two games in a shootout.

English River outscored the North Stars 42-25.

Game 1 is Saturday and Game 2 is Sunday at 6:30 central/7:30 eastern.

Meantime, the Dryden GM Ice Dogs hit the road in a bid to take a 3-0 stranglehold in their series with Fort Frances.

The Ice Dogs outscored the Lakers 13-4 in the first two games and have won 14 straight games.

Puck-drop is 7:30 and CKDR will have the call starting at 7:15.
