The English River Miners improved to 5-0 at the Cochenour Arena with a 3-1 win over the Dryden GM Ice Dogs Friday night.
The Miners out worked the Ice Dogs from start to finish and capitalized on their chances.
Michael Lenko also helped the English River cause with a 38 save effort.
Austin Kuhn and Trevor Pereverzoff found the back of the net, while Sidney Gladue scored into an empty net.
Eric Stout replied for Dryden GM.
Patrick Zubrick suffered his first loss with a 27-save performance.
The Miners kept pace with the Thunder Bay North Stars as the Stars came back to beat Thief River Falls 4-2.
The Fort Frances Lakers blanked Minnesota 4-0.
