The English River Miners gave their home fans plenty to cheer about in their final game at the Cochenour Arena.
Braeden Pearce finally ended things beating Troy Pearce in a 20 man shootout as the Miners outlasted the Dryden GM Ice Dogs 3-2 Tuesday night.
Joe Carney thought he had won the game for the Dogs but Jake Gushue replied in a must score situation.
Troy Williams sent the game into overtime scoring with the goalie pulled and 33 seconds left on the clock.
Matt Houston scored 10 seconds into the third.
Ryker Moreau and Jake Gushue scored in regulation for English River.
Justin Mckenzie picked up his first SIJHL point with an assist.
Reid Kilburn was sensational in net for the Miners making 48-saves, including a game saving stop off Nic Noseworthy.
Troy Pierce stopped 33 shots.
In other SIJHL action, Thunder Bay dumped Minnesota 5-3.
