Ontario’s minimum wage is going up this fall.
The 15-cent an hour increase will come into effect on October 1st and will bring the province’s minimum wage up to $11.40.
That’s the highest of any province in Canada.
The hike is based on the inflation rate and is the tenth such increase since 2003.
Minimum wage rates for liquor servers, students under the age of 18, hunting and fishing guides, and homeworkers will also increase at the same time.
