Ontario’s new Mining Act was passed into law back in October, but the Provincial Government is still seeking input on the Legislation.
Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle says the latest round of consultations will be directed at the actual regulations contained in the bill.
Gravelle says comments on the Mining Act can be left on the Environmental Bill of Rights website or by contacting the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines directly.
The consultation period will run until June 2010.
